Branding Your Business

What is branding? Every company, whether they sell products or services, has the ability to create their brand, also seen as the personality of the company. When branding your business you can mold your story into something that consumers will seek out and value, or you can ignore it and have it molded for you – potentially without being able to break out of that stigma. Why Brand? Branding your company gives you a chance to tell a story, let people know who you are, how you can help them and why you might be the best person/company for the job. It gives you a change to stand out. For example, there are many motorcycle companies out there, yet, Harley-Davidson(R) … Read More

This week I will be celebrating my 32nd birthday, and it just so happens that I share a birthday with none other than The Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. So it only seemed fitting that this weeks post would revolve around his autobiography “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.” I admit, I was a bit unsure when someone recommended this book to me. What could an Austrian action star really have to teach me? But as it turns out, quite a bit – especially when it comes to the true definition of grit. At 15 years old Arnold found his idol Reg Park, a world-famous bodybuilder turned actor. The scrawny teenager (hard to believe the Terminator was ever scrawny) then … Read More

How well would you say that you handle losing? My entire life I have always picked up skills pretty quickly and have been naturally pretty decent at anything I tried my hand at.  I always excelled at new sports quickly and I very rarely ever came across a problem I couldn’t find a solution to.  That seems all well and good, but I’ve come to realize that this had actually made me mentally weak. I have very little grit.  I came to realize this when I was playing my umpteenth round of racket ball against my now-husband, not wanting to leave until I won a match.  He had just taught me the game a couple weeks prior to this showdown … Read More

Amber KesslerWeb DesignLeave a Comment

For a couple years now the amount of mobile searches have vastly outnumbered the amount of desktop searches being made.  Knowing this would continue to be the trend, Google announced in 2016 that it was experimenting with “mobile first indexing”. This past December they gave a brief update on this experiment and where it’s headed. Below is a snippet of the latest announcement from Google: “Currently our crawling, indexing, and ranking systems typically look at the desktop version of a page’s content, which may cause issues for mobile searchers when that version is vastly different from the mobile version. Mobile-first indexing means that we’ll use the mobile version of the content for indexing and ranking, to better help our – … Read More

Recently I have been on a Navy SEALS kick and have been absorbing as much information as possible from former SEALS like Jocko Willink and Mark Divine, as well as information on what made them successful over countless others who’ve attempted to be among these elite ranks. During this stint I grabbed the book Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, who share SEAL leadership best practices and how they translate into the business world. After retiring from the SEALS, Willink and Babin started a consulting business, Echelon Front, teaching their Leadership ideas to major organizations around the world.  This experience is what brought about the idea for their book and where … Read More

You can mold your story into something that consumers will value, or you can ignore it and have it molded for you. Check out the tips below to learn how to make your brand irresistible. 1. Know Your Audience – As the famous John Lydgate quote goes “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.”  The point is, you can’t fall into the trap of wanting to please everyone or thinking that everyone is your target customer.  No matter what your product or service, this is just never true. “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” – Mother Teresa My grandmother was someone who radiated love and beauty everywhere she went. She loved nothing more than being able to spoil her grandchildren and, like the famous Mother Teresa quote, no one left her presence without feeling a little brighter. She saw the beauty in everyone and made sure that they knew how special are. Even now, years after her passing I still have strangers come up to me and tell me how special she was. They remember how she made them feel. It’s been over five years since she passed, but her love always remains with my family and I. Every … Read More
